Here’s what’s happening at BioNova® Natural Pools North America…
Catonsville, Maryland Natural Swimming Pool: A Successful First Season
We’re excited to share an update on the BioNova® Natural Swimming Pool (NSP) project in Catonsville, Maryland! Since opening in June, the pool has enjoyed a successful first season, staying clear throughout the summer and providing the homeowners with a beautiful, natural swimming experience.
As a refresher, this project features a sleek, rectilinear pool measuring 47 feet by 9 feet, designed specifically for lap swimming. The swimming area totals 417 square feet and is complemented by a planted wetlands area measuring 27 feet by 3.5 feet, providing an additional 95 square feet. The system is filtered by a 12-tube BF4 biofilm filter, neatly situated in the corner of the pool.
Following the completion of the gravel installation in both the BF4 vault and the wetlands area, along with final equipment connections, the pool was ready for startup. Since June, the system has been up and running, delivering clear water throughout the entire summer season.
We visited the site this past week to close the pool for the winter, marking the end of a successful first swimming season. Most importantly, the homeowners are extremely happy with how the pool has performed. The consistently clear water and enjoyable swimming experience have made for a great first season and a wonderful example of the benefits of a well-designed natural swimming pool.
We look forward to seeing this project return to life next spring and to sharing more updates as the homeowners continue to enjoy their BioNova® Natural Swimming Pool!
